Eva Braun (EB Butterfly) Pieces

EB Mother of Pearl Paris Opera Glasses

There is a bumble bee maker mark on the bridge and engraved on the eyepiece with the LEMAIRE FABRICANT PARIS maker name. All of the metal pieces are gilded.

The "EB" butterfly monogram is engraved on the front center of the objective bridge.

The optics are clear and bright with no collimation or parallax distortions present.

It measures 2-3/4 inches (extended) and 2 inches (closed) by 4  inches across at the objective lenses.

The condition is very good to near excellent, with some tarnish and slight wear to the gilt finish.  The MOP is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs.

EB Ivory and Amber Candlestick Matched Pair

This is a view from the back side.

It measures 8-1/2 inches (overall) and 2-3/4 inches (amber portion) by 5-3/4 inches (ivory portion). The bases are separately attached and measure 2-3/16 inches square.

The condition is very good to near excellent, with some hairline crackes typical in ivory apparent in the images. The amber is in  good condition, with one showing an old (but well done) repair.

EB Gold Ruby Red Stone EB Ring and Brooch

The stone is an approximately 5 point mine cut ruby red color. It shows some scratches and rubs from wear.  The brooch is pear shaped and approximately 3 carats.

These are views of the right, left and back sides of the brooch. This is the right and left of the ring. The back of the ring has a break at the back of the band that can be easily repaired by any competent jeweler.

The gold on both piece tests 14K.  The ring is a size 7.

The stone is an approximately 5 point round brilliant cut diamond in a six prong solitaire cut-out pattern mount. It shows some scratches and rubs from wear.

The stone is an approximately 5 point round brilliant cut diamond in a filigree cut-out pattern mount. It shows some scratches and rubs from wear.

EB Gold Amethyst Opera Glove Cocktail Ring

The stone is an approximately 2 carat oval amethyst. It shows some scratches and rubs from wear.

The gold tests 14K.  It is a size 10-1/2 made to fit over opera gloves.

EB Gold Opal and Emerald Cocktail Ring

It is maker marked "M.J.A" inside the band.  The stones are one 20-point emerald green stone, five (of an original 6) round multi-color fire opals. The missing stone should be fairly simple for a good jeweler to match, if needed.

EB Gold Diamond Garnet EB Marked Cocktail Ring

It is marked "EB" inside the band.  The stones are one 5-point diamond, two 3-point brilliant cut diamonds, and three 10-point mine-cut garnets.

The stone is a single large 12mm (about 5 caret) very pale -- nearly white -- amethyst.

The stone is an approximately 4mm ruby red square cut. It shows some scratches and rubs from wear.

The silver content is a marked 925.  It is a size 7-1/2.

EB Gold Art Deco Locket

It measures 1-1/4 by 1 inch. The back had a stone or something applied at one time, which is no longer present.

The condition is used, with some surface scratches, as shown.

It measures 3/4 by 1 inch. The back has a 585 (14K) gold content mark present.

It measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter. The back has a hinged pin and simple hook catch and 585 GAHR MÜNCHEN gold content and maker marks, shown here.

This is a view of the back.

The cameo measures 8mm by 10mm.  The stickpin is 50mm (2 inches) long.

Each earring measures 15mm by 20mm.

There is moderate to heavy wear to the original gilt finish.

EB Silver Scarf Pin Brooch

This is a view of the back.

Each earring measures approximately 2 inches by 3/4 inches with a 1/2 diameter emblem.

There is very light wear and tarnish to the silver present.

EB Swastika Locket Expansion Bracelet

It measures 2 inches in diameter when contracted, the locket measures 1 inch in diameter. It has a PATENTED marking on one of the links.  This is a view of the back and one with the locket open.

The condition is near excellent, excepting the one missing stone.

There is a small photo of Adolf Hitler in civilian suit and a photo of a baby with a lock of hair inside the locket.

The condition is near very good, excepting the one missing stone and a couple of the links need minor repair to reconnect them.

EB Alligator Lizard Skin Purse

It has a separate slip pocket for a handkerchief and a zippered change/jewelry pocket on each side of the main compartment.  The front flap lifts to expose the interior.  It measures 7-1/2 inches across and 6-3/4 inches high.

It does not have a monogram or identification.  There are no maker marks.

EB Beaded Change Purse

The beads are painted black, and there are white painted wooden beads forming a swastika on one side of the purse only. The purse has a folded white silk handkerchief inside, measuring 33 cm square.

It measures 7 inches high with the stopper and 3 inches at the widest point.

The condition is near excellent. It is glass and fragile.

The condition is good to very good, with significant wear to the silver plate from long use. It is fragile.

The 800 silver content marks and crescent moon and crown reichs marks with an entwined JB maker mark. This is a view of the bristle and mirror side.

The mirror measures 12-1/4 inches long and the brush is 9-1/2 inches long.

The condition is good to very good, with tarnish to the silver  from long use.

Each piece has 800 silver content marks and maker marks. This is a view of the bristle and mirror side.

The beveled edge silvered crystal mirror measures 11-3/4 inches long and the hairbrush is 9-1/2 inches long and the clothing brush is 7 inches long.

The condition is good to very good, with tarnish to the silver  from long use.

The front open, back, and back open views of the case are shown here.  It has STERLING silver content marks and there is an unreadable maker mark on the inside lip of the case.

It measures 1 inches wide and 1-3/8 inches high. There is a small loop for attachment to a chatelaine chain.

The condition is near excellent.

EB Rolleiflex 60mm (2-1/4 inch) Twin Lens Reflex Camera and Leather Case

This camera (and a number of other items) were taken in early May, just prior to the end of the war, by Captain J. T. Schwidde, a US Army doctor assigned to Company D, 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division.  This is a photo of Captain Schwidde in Class A uniform, and another photo in fatigues sitting in one of Hermann Göring's chairs outside the ruins of his home in Berchtesgaden.   He wrote several V-Mail letters (shown here and here), specifically mentioning the "liberation" of this camera and some china and crystal (shown on the Glass and Crystal page) which was mailed to his wife on 8 May 1945, V-E Day.  He also acquired a number of other items -- including the massive record collection of Martin Bormann, which can be seen here, along with 1946 dated newspaper articles describing his adventures and picturing some of the items taken.

The camera is in the original case and has the original leather strap as well.  There is some minor wear to the case and some crazing and cracking of the strap. Here are several views of the camera in the case.
