Maker Marked Hitler Youth knife With Applied Unit
Identification and Fossil Ivory Grips With Scabbard.
This knife belonged to a member of the German National Socialist State Food Supply Office (NS-Reichsnährstand). The emblem is applied to the end of the pommel. This knife shows signs of long service. The grips are very heavy fossil ivory. This is a view of the front of the grip and the rear of the grip. There are some minor noticeable signs of scratches on the blade. It has a GES. GESCHÜTZT, and F. W. BACKHAUS SOLINGEN logo and maker mark. The original leather buffer is absent. The other side of the blade has the Blut und Ehre! deep ground motto. The scabbard is fair to good, with the chipped paint and some dents present. The leather is cracked and flaking. There is a Hitler Youth member pin still clipped to the retaining strap. The scabbard is very unusual, being a field quality design and with robust leather hanger. It is in good to very good, with 10% of the original green enamel remaining. This is a VERY RARE early BDM youth knife with
metal scabbard and leather hanger strap.
It has a fancy gilt and enamel city coat of arms with crown surmount and NSDAP political eagle emblem. The event location and date REICHSPARTEITAG NÜRNBERG 1935 are rendered in gilt between the eagle emblem and coat of arms. There is an E. & F. HÖRSTER SOLINGEN name and logo and GES. GESCH. registered maker marks are present on the reverse side of the blade. The knife measures 8-1/8 inches long with a 4-7/8 inch blade. These are close-ups of the front and rear of the grip. The scabbard is all metal, with the strap riveted to the side. The condition is near excellent throughout. |

This is a VERY RARE early BDM youth knife with
metal scabbard and leather hanger strap and ORIGINAL VOOS
factory Olympics marked shipping bag.
It has a fancy gilt and enamel city coat of arms with crown surmount and Berlin Olympic eagle emblem. The legend is "ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS ZUR EHRE DES VATERLANDES" is rendered in gilt between the eagle emblem and coat of arms. There is an EMIL VOOS SOLINGEN name and logo and GES. GESCH. registered maker marks are present on the reverse side of the blade. The knife measures 8-1/8 inches long with a 4-3/4 inch blade. These are close-ups of the front and rear of the stag horn grip. There is an inset HJ diamond on the front grip. The scabbard is all metal, with the strap riveted to the side. The original Olympic marked Emil Voos bag (front and rear) is included with this knife. The condition is near excellent, with some minor signs of wear, apparent in the images. |

HJ Boot Trench Knife |
This is a Hitler Youth trench knife (also called a boot
knife) with Applied HJ Eagle Emblem.
It was carried by a former member of the Hitler Youth during his service in WWII. There is an eagle "6" proof mark present on the blade. The front side has a deeply set HJ aluminum eagle and wreath insignia and the reverse side of the grip has deeply carved initials MB. There is no scabbard.. The condition is very used, generally very good throughout. |
