This is the pre-1908 Royal Greater Arms with
War Ensign and State Flags of Sweden.
This is an exceptionally rare heavy padded and quilted silk floss with gold and silver bullion wire three-dimensional Greater Coat of Arms of Sweden with standards and MULTIPLE Royal Orders surrounding the shield. This is a close-up of the Coat of Arms showing detail, to include the Royal Order of the Seraphim and five lesser Royal orders below the shield. The Royal Order of the North Star and several others are identifiable by design, with neck chains and ribbons used prior to the 20th century evident in the pattern. This was removed from the house banner of one of the members of the Swedish Royal Family and retained when it was retired and replaced by the 1908 approved design which only allowed the Royal Order of the Seraphim to surround the shield. Here is a view of the back. It measures 26 inches wide and 22 inches high at the ensigns. The central coat of arms measures 14-1/2 inches wide and 14 inches high. It is between 1/2 and 3/4 inches thick. The condition is generally good, with some fading and minor damage to the silk, most notably on the ensigns. |

UK-06 1854 Dated Charge of the Light Brigade Survivor Uniform Shell Jacket |
This is an extremely RARE 1854 dated and
identified shell jacket tunic formerly belonging to a survivor of the Charge of the Light
Brigade in the Crimea in 1855..
The shell jacket is identified by name and number to "4156 Wm. Fulton, Pte." inked on the quilted interior padding. There are a couple of other cryptic numbers as well. William Fulton was one of the last 14 survivors of the "Gallant 600" of the Charge of the Light Brigade as of October, 1913. He is listed as being assigned to the 8th Hussars and was 22 years old at the time of the Charge. There are also "Size 1" and "RP&CO", broad arrow, and "WD" maker marked, dated 1854 (the uniforms of many units in British Service changed that year). This waist length jacket is a cream colored wool with bright scarlet trim at the throat and cuffs. It has a lot of heavy gold bullion frogwork and treatments at the cuffs and back in wide gold bullion stripes. This is a view of the back treatment and another view here. There are five rows of buttons, four of them decorative and one functional, shown in close-up here. The decorative buttons are gilded dome buttons are 3/4 inches in diameter, the functional center row buttons are 1 inch in diameter. Several have been replaced (long ago, 19th century field repair). Several buttons are missing, as shown. There are minor field repairs, sweat stains and blood spatter on the inside and outside. The condition is well used, with significant signs of combat wear. It is in overall very good condition This shell jacket most closely resembles the tunic shown worn by Captain Thomas, Aide-de-Camp to General Bousquet, commanding the Light Brigade, shown in this Roger Felton photo taken in 1855 before the battle. Note the shell jacket partially visible under the over coat in the portion of the photograph shown and the cream color with red trim. You will be exceptionally pleased to add this most unusual well-marked and battle worn uniform jacket to your collection! |

with scabbard. The sword was made by Wilkinson Sword of Sheffield England. It is profusely marked with dozens of marks on the scabbard (top edge, throat front and rear), guard (inside, ricasso) and blade (right and spine), and grip. It measures 44-1/2 inches overall in the scabbard. The sword measures 43 inches overall, with a 35 inch blade. These are overall views of the sword right and left. This is an unusual document detailing an injury
to a British gunner while under the command of Lieutenant Colonel 2 Heavy
Battery Royal Artillery Regiment This document reads: "Woolrich 22 June 1784 / I do hereby Certify that Gunner John Hart received a Hurt in both his legs by a Grape Shot Box falling on him when Employed in the Storehouse at St. Lucia, while under my Command /s/ John Williamson/ Lieut Col of Artillery" Colonel Williamson is listed as the commander Coy 1 Bn ("Hinds Company"), from January 1770 to 1779, at Woolrich and St. Lucia. He commanded the 2nd Heavy Royal Artillery against the Colonies during the American Revolution at Philadelphia and New York in 1776 and 1777. A record of his command is here. UK-03 Boer War 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade Named Medal |
This is a very scarce pre-WWI medal with the
honors of "Royal Green Jackets" of the 1st Battalion "The Prince Consort's
Own" Rifle Brigade.
This bronze medallion has honors from the Napoleonic Wars in the early 1800s to the Boer War campaigns in South Africa in 1902, and the Defense and Relief of Lady Smith. No WWI honors are present, and it has the King's Crown surmount, dating the medal to prior to its engagements in WWI. The medal is named, however the name and specific unit are very worn. Traces of the original block engraving can be seen remaining on the back. It no apparent maker marks. The condition is used, with some signs of routine wear. It is in overall very good condition.

During WWII, they saw combat in France during the Dieppe Raid, North Africa, and Sicily. Members of the Regiment were in virtually every theater of the war, excepting Hong Kong. Soviet CCCP NKVD Identitified Motorcycle Officer Lot This is a complete uniform which includes the Soviet Identification card, leather dispatch case, leather coat, leather helmet, Goggles, Leather belt and gun holder, blue piped riding breeches, poplin shirt, tie and photograph showing the original owner wearing the items. The only item shown in the photo not included are the boots, which are standard issue and shouldn't be too difficult to locate. The front of the ID has the embossed NKVD branch identification, the other side has his photo, name and branch assignment. This is the caption on the back of the group photo, identifying the unit and 1943 date. This is an overall view of the front and back of the identified 7-/12 by 10 inch leather dispatch case. The helmet is in great condition and well-marked on the inside. These are views of the left and right sides. It measures about a US size 7-1/4 (57-58). This is the poplin cotton pull-over shirt and a close-up of the collar area and tie. It measures 21 inches across the chest, 18 inch shoulders, and 21 inch arm inseam. This is a close-up of the front of the 30-inch waist 23 inch (28 including extensions) inseam of the breeches and a view of the back side. This is the 46 inch long belt and holster, front and back views. This is the back of the leather coat and the maker tag inside the interior pocket. It measures 22 inches across the chest, 18 inch shoulders, and 19 inch arm inseam. The condition is used, with some signs of routine wear to the leather items of the uniform. . |
