The armored upraised arm grasping a ring is the charge on the Goring coat of arms. It was frequently seen on the majority of his personal items, typically displayed on a shield. There are so many variants on this theme it is difficult to describe them all. The shields alone are a study in variation. Some are plain, some bordered, some vertically striped, some stippled, and other similar treatments.
Some examples of his personal flatware are shown below which will give you an idea of the styles and types that were recovered from the Obersalzberg, and were transported from Carinhall outside of Berlin, Emmyhall in the Rominten Forest, his trains (he had four at his beck and call), and from the residence in the Obersalzberg.
